Welcome one another, therefore, just as Christ
has welcomed you, for the glory of God.

Welcoming
Purpose Statement
The United Methodist Church declares to its surrounding communities ‘Come and join us. We have open doors, open hearts and open minds. You are welcome here’
At Kingswood United Methodist Church our Welcoming Ministry seeks to make this declaration of acceptance real and noticeable the minute you walk through our doors. Some of the ways we do that, and some of the ministry opportunities that are available to those who worship at Kingswood are as follows:
· Sunday morning Greeters. Persons are stationed at the entrances to the building and in the parking lot to extend a greeting to each person as they enter
· Ushers. Persons who greet at the sanctuary doors, provide a worship bulletin, assist with seating, receive the offering and help in any way necessary to enhance the worship experience
· Sunday Morning Receptionists. Persons receive telephone calls during worship times on Sunday morning. These calls may be prospective guests who need directions, callers who may need to contact someone at church, or are inquiring about worship times
· Information Ambassadors. Persons who are available at the Information Station in the Fireside Room at the close of worship services to provide an Information packet to guests and to answer any questions
· Prospective Member Classes. Orientation classes are held for those wishing to join Kingswood United Methodist Church
· Visitation Team. The Visitation Team makes a porch visit to each visitor, delivering a small gift with information about the activities and spiritual life at Kingswood United Methodist Church |
