Emergency Food Pantry Ministry

The need:

·         Approximately 20 to 30 families visit our Food Pantry each week

·         Individuals and families are limited to a maximum of 3 visits per year

·         The Pantry serves only residents of Buffalo Grove, Wheeling, Arlington Heights and Palatine

Our Response:

·         The Food Pantry is located in the “Manna House” which is just west of the church building and still on Kingswood property

·         The Pantry is open and staffed between 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Thursdays of each week

·         Occasional additional emergencies throughout the week are served by church office staff wherever possible

·         Identification and proof of residency is required

·         The amount of food that is provided depends on need and availability and always includes staples and nutritious non-perishable foods

Would you like to help?

·         Several area churches and community organizations help with food and financial donations

·         Kingswood UMC members staff the Food Pantry, shop, sort and prepare food packages and give financially to keep the Pantry operating

·         Donations of food, time and money are always welcome
