Where is the church?

401 W. Dundee, Buffalo Grove, IL 60089

Where do I park?

Our main entrance is located on Dundee Road just west of Golfview Terrace in Buffalo Grove. Parking is available on the east side and south side of our building. Entrances are available off of both parking lots. Handicap parking is available on the east side of the building near the main entrance. There is also a hadicapped automatic opening door at our main entrance.  The parking spaces are clearly designated. Worship takes place in our sanctuary on the north end of our building near the main east entrance.

What should I wear?

You are welcome to dress casually or more formally if you wish. There is no dress code.

How is the offering handled?

Please do not feel like you have to contribute to our offering. Ushers will pass a plate through the seating areas to collect the offering which supports our ministry and mission.

How is communion offered?

We practice open Holy Communion every week. All who wish to participate are welcome. You will be instructed on how to proceed forward to a communion station. Gluten-free wafers are provided at one of the stations. On first Sundays, we also offer communion at a kneeling station. Each individual will be provided a piece of bread and you will dip it into the cup that holds grape juice and return to your seat. If you choose not to participate, you may remain seated. If you need to remain seated but would like to receive communion, please inform an usher.

Are inter-faith families/couples welcome?

Kingswood has ten families who have inter-faith families where one spouse practices or identifies with a faith like Judaism.  We have been very committed to interfaith and ecumenical relationships being a founding member of the Northwest Suburban Interfaith Council and being the initial home for several synagogues in our area.

What accommodations are there for those with special needs?

Persons who have special needs are most welcome at Kingswood Church. Persons with walkers will find seating to accommodate them. Wheelchairs can also be accommodated at each service. People with walking difficulties should enter through the main east entrance. We provide large print bulletins and hymnals on request from the ushers. Hearing aid devices are also available from the ushers.

Where do my children go?

Children are invited to Sunday School for ages 2 through senior high school during the 9:00am worship service. Childcare for children, 2 and under, is available in our nursery, that is located on the Northwest corner of the building (near the lobby). Occasionally, children are included in worship for special family services; we also provide age-appropriate materials for children who want to worship with their parents.

Are there refreshments and an opportunity to meet new people?

Each Sunday, before and after both services, we offer coffee and light refreshments as a way to get to know one another. We invite you to stay and enjoy the time with others from Kingswood. It is located in the Fireside Room off the sanctuary.
