The social justice team coordinates efforts to go deeper into issues of mission and mercy by addressing more systemic causes and issues related to society and our Christian faith.

This team works on greater social change and witness.

The Social Justice team invites you to a presentation on  Immigration. We see issues surrounding immigration, DACA and border security making the headlines nearly every day. Come learn the myths and facts about U.S. immigration and why reform is necessary for justice. We welcome Justice for Our Neighbors of Northern Illinois Conference Board Member and attorney Sara Dady, on Sunday, June 3rd following the 10:30 AM service.  Lunch will be provided in the Activity  Center followed by Sara’s presentation. Kingswood supports Northern Illinois Justice For Our Neighbors, a UMC ministry that provides high-quality immigration legal services at no cost to our clients. Click here for more info on Justice for Our Neighbors in Norther Illinois.

Please sign up to help at the Northern Illinois Justice for Our Neighbors Legal Clinic. The clinic will runs from 3-7 pm, with volunteer hours starting as early as 2 pm and ending as late as 8:15 pm. No one needs to stay the entire time unless you want to sign up for more than one shift.
