What are Spiritual Gifts and How Can I Discover Mine?
Spiritual gifts are described within the letters of Paul to Rome, Ephesus, and Corinth (Romans 12, Ephesians 4, 1 Corinthians 12–13), and were recognized by the first-century church. While all of life is a gift from God, these spiritual gifts are lifted up within Scripture as gifts of the Spirit, given specifically for the upbuilding of the body of Christ. A spiritual gift is an extraordinary trait given by the Holy Spirit to fulfill Jesus’ mission. Some of these gifts include knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, the discernment of spirits, diverse kinds of tongues, interpretation of tongues and more. Unlike talents or abilities, these Spirit-given gifts cannot be learned or improved. They just are. Knowing our gifts can help us in discovering where we can serve. You are invited to take our Spiritual Gifts Survey online. Once we receive it, we will score it and then email you the results. Remember that some folks have one or two gifts, while other people have more than that. Consider joining the upcoming Spiritual Gifts Bible Study to learn more about these sacred gifts.
