Birth-5th Grade

We are deeply committed to the spiritual development of children.  We offer a variety of ways for children to grow in their love for God, their service to others, and their friendships with other children, parents, and leaders in a fun and dynamic way that is God centered and Jesus focused.  Visitors are always welcome to join us!

During our 9:00am service, we offer Sunday School for preschool-12th grade, as well as childcare for infants and toddlers.  Our Nursery is available for use during our 10:30am service.  We also offer online Sunday School lesson resources below, in our Kingswood Parents Facebook Group, and on our app.

Sunday School and Parent Resources

The  most  important  part  of  any  play  is  what  happens  “behind  the  scenes.”  There’s  lighting,  wardrobe,  casting,  playwriting — so much has to happen perfectly to bring the production together! In the story of Esther, there is a whole lot going on behind the scenes, too. In this four-week series, kids will discover the most important character in  Esther’s  story  isn’t  always  center-stage,  but  can  often  be  found  behind  the  scenes  working,  helping,  giving  support and giving peace. (Spoiler alert: It’s God!)

Read this week's scripture and talk as a family.  Use these conversation starters to get the discussion going.

Children's Sunday School...9:00am most Sundays
Our youngest church friends gather by age or grade.
At 9:00am, the Nursery team is ready to take care of babies and learn alongside preschoolers up through 4 years old.
Our Kindergarten through 5th grade students will start out together in our back Sunday School room for fellowship, then worship with Miss Felicia.  The last half of our Sunday School hour together, kids will divide into two groups of K-2 and 3-5.
**The Nursery is open for families to use during our 10:30am service.**

2nd Sunday of Each Month
The 2nd Sunday of each month, children will begin in the Sanctuary with their family and will be dismissed to Sunday School after the Children's Sermon.
November 6th
We will kick off our new series by learning about how God works behind the scenes.  We'll learn who Esther was and how she became queen through the scripture in Esther 2:1-18.

November 13th
Start in the Sanctuary as a family.   Enjoy the Children's Sermon, then head to Sunday School to learn how God helps us do good behind the scenes.  We'll learn about how Mordecai and Haman became bitter rivals through the scripture in Esther 3:1-6 and 6:1-11.

November 20th...Thanksgiving Sunday
We'll learn how God gives us support behind the scenes.  We'll learn about why Mordecai asked Esther to help the people of Israel through the scripture in Esther 3:8-14.

November 27th...1st Sunday of Advent
We'll learn how God gives us peace behind the scenes.  We'll learn about the time that Esther talked to the king about her people through the scripture in Esther 5:1-8, 7:1-6, and 8:1-8.

Each packing session takes 1-2 hours and works best with 3-5 people, kids included! Pack whenever is convenient for your family, from Friday evening through the following Wednesday evening.
Instructions and training provided!
Email our Food Pantry team if you're interested.
