Children

We are deeply committed to the spiritual development of children. We offer a variety of ways of children to grow in their love for God, serve others and build friendships with other children, parents and leaders in a fun and dynamic way.

  Sunday School   We offer Sunday School during our 9AM service. There is age specific programming for children two years of age through Senior High youth.  2-3 Years Old Meet in Room 121  4 Years Old - 6th Grade Meet in the Activity Center  7-8th Grade Meet in Room 135  9-12th Grade Meet in Room 115  Our Sunday school program involves an age specific teaching time, games, music, snacks and community building.   4th-6th Grade Fellowship    Once a month we have a gathering for our 4th, 5th and 6th graders to build friendships, grow spiritually and have fun together. This group typically meets at the church but also does off site events through out the year. For more information contact  Barb Symonds , Minister of Children & Family Life.

  Children's Choir   All children ages four through 6th grade are invited to sing in our Cherub Children's Choir, which practices during the 9:00am Sunday School hour. This group performs several times during the school year for both the 9AM and 10:30AM services.  We offer several opportunities for children to participate in our worship services. These include: Cherub Children's Choir, The Annual Christmas Program, United Nations Committee on Relief Fund where children collect change during Halloween to help other children in need.   For more information contact  Randy Lawrence , Director of Music Ministry

In December we offer Parents Night Out to the Kingswood community to offer 3 ½ hours to parents to finish up Christmas shopping, wrap gifts, go out to dinner or just catch a movie.

  Boy Scouts   Boy Scout Troop 401 is chartered by the KUMC Men's Club. If you would like to join Troop 401, please attend one of thei meetings. Troop meetings are held every Thursday at 7pm, at the Kingswood in the Activity Center. For more info you can visit their  website

If anyone is interested in starting their own troop they can contact the  Girl Scout out office .
