CHILDREN'S MINISTRY

Birth-5th Grade

We are deeply committed to the spiritual development of children.  We offer a variety of ways for children to grow in their love for God, their service to others, and their friendships with other children, parents, and leaders in a fun and dynamic way that is God centered and Jesus focused.  Visitors are always welcome to join us!

BUFFALO GROVE (BG) CAMPUS...
Usually during our 9am service, we offer Sunday School for preschool-12th grade, as well as childcare for infants and toddlers.
Our Nursery is available for families to use together on their own during our 10:30am service.
DEERFIELD (DF) CAMPUS...
Usually during our 10am service, children who are preschool aged through 5th grade begin in the worship service with their family, then are invited to Sunday School after opening music.

Children and youth are welcome to join their families for the worship services in the Sanctuary at either campus any time.  It's SO IMPORTANT for kids to learn how to be in the service.  Books and coloring activities will be available.
Check out this article about why.

We also offer online Sunday School lesson resources below, in our Kingswood Parents Facebook Group, and on our app.

Sunday School and Parent Resources

SUMMER  SUNDAY  SCHOOL (June/July/August)
Summer is a great time to take a break from the normal routine and try something fun and different.  This summer, kids will enjoy different pictures books from our very own Kingswood Library.  We'll talk about how they relate to God and what God calls us to.  Each reading will have a book club feel with discussion and fun activities to follow.  Check out our reading selections in the Spotlight on Sunday School section below.

In addition...we'll be collecting new and gently used books all summer long to donate to schools in need overseas through Reynolds' Provisions.  Miss Rebecca is one of our Sunday School teachers and this is her mission.

PAJAMAS  AND  POPT'ART'S  IS  BACK!!
By demand, our ever popular Pajamas and Popt'art's is back this summer. Kids asked, and we answered!
Every second Sunday in June, July, and August, kids and volunteers can wear their pajamas to church...after all...it's summer!
We'll enjoy a poptart breakfast together in Sunday School before we get creative and have fun with art.
Praising our Creator who created us to create!

Do you have a charity or organization that you're passionate about helping?

Service  Opportunities  to  Help  Others

Did you know that Gratitude Generation is a local nonprofit organization that is making generational waves?! And...they are housed in our Deerfield site campus at 815 Rosemary Terrace in Deerfield, IL.
They do a tremendous amount of compassionate work in our community, for others, teaching the next generation of children and families how to serve. We've been thrilled to partner with them at events we've held, and we support their mission to support neighbors in need while building a new generation of service-minded leaders.
Check out the many opportunities they have for kids and teens.
Seriously...they're amazing!
Sign up today to help support our community vegetable garden that two of our youth have started to provide fresh food to our Food Pantry guests!
Families can sign up to help weed and water the gardens this summer!
