Young Adult

Ages 18-Late 20s

Kingswood Young Adults are those who are 18 through late 20s from both the Buffalo Grove and Deerfield campus and community looking for ways to connect in both faith and in fellowship. We are committed to being welcoming of all young adults in all walks of life. Whether you are single, in a relationship, off at college, in the area going to school, working, or are just trying to figure life out--this group is for you!
Your voice matters! If you have a prayer request, suggestion, question, or feedback for Kate, she is always here for you. Feel free to share in person or through this form. Thank you for taking the time to connect and share!

Young Adult Fellowship: The Well

You're too old for youth group but too young to get involved with some of the current life groups...where do you go?
FIND YOUR PLACE HERE!

Why is it called "The Well"?

Wells are used to represent some pretty incredible things throughout the Bible: opportunity, community, sustenance, life, salvation, encounter, revival, healing, and relationships.
"With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation." Isaiah 12:3

You do not have to commit to all of the dates! Come when you can and bring friends!
(Digging deeper discussions typically includes watching a video, checking out Scripture, and discussing some guiding questions about faith in our lives.)
7:00-7:30 pm= Optional time to come and catch up and chat with others
7:30-8:30 pm= Activity or Discussion
We need your feedback! What types of activities do you want to do?
What are some questions or topics you would like to discuss? Share all ideas with Kate Lapetino (klapetino@kingswoodumc.com).

Children & Youth Leaders

Are you 18 or older? Interested in Volunteering? We need you!
There are various levels of volunteers needed: weekly, monthly, a few times a year, or just for special events! Reach out to Jenn or Kate if you have any questions! Every volunteer working directly with and supervising children, youth, and vulnerable adults are Safe Sanctuaries trained and background checked.
Please reach out to Kate if you are in need of service hours, have a heart to serve others, or have ideas of other service-focused projects we can participate in!

Worship Through Music

Worship always gets elevated with music. Whether we can sing in tune or not, we can all benefit immensely from singing to God with enthusiasm. Connect through music by listening to our Spotify playlists!

Mental Health is more than a Month!

More than ever, mental health is so important in ALL of our lives.  We face each day with more input and information than ever before and it can feel overwhelming without even realizing that it's overwhelming.  This constant bombardment of distractions and information is "normal" for us.  We must learn to find time to take a break, unplug, and seek peace.

Prayer and time with God can be a HUGE gift to our mental health, but it doesn't stop there.  God is an amazing provider and gives us many supports and resources to better our mental health.

Young adults are necessary in our community.
Let's journey together in faith and fellowship. You are valued here!
